Straight Raw Wellness—Who Are We?
We are [the] Straight Raw Wellness group. Collectively, over the last 40+ years, Straight Raw Wellness has primarily focused on physical health and emotional healing by way of emotional transparency. Straight Raw Wellness is a consortium of licensed professionals and knowledgeable authorities, that have come together to contribute a multitude of intriguing content to the Introspective Intelligence concept.
Our wellness team is comprised of a diverse and dynamic think tank of doctors, health coaches, life coaches, grief counselors, mentors etc. Our approach to wellness is a hybrid of both modern and holistic medicine. Both approaches to wellness have their advantages and limitations. While one has the technology to discover health issues, provide rehabilitation and equipment to correct and strengthen, they also rush to surgery and promote drugs that have adverse effects. While holistic medicine is a great approach to address some health conditions, it’s not regulated. There are too many unqualified practitioners. So many of them despise western medicine to the point that talk their clients out of getting tested or getting a surgery that can save their life. They think natural herbs can cure anything. While our goal is to provide practical information to help people make the best health choices, our mission is to separate rhetoric from reality.
Utilizing only one approach is not conducive to good health and longevity. There is no one approach to medicine and healing that is going to be comprehensive or has proven to be conclusive by itself. That said, be careful not to put all your faith into licensed medical professionals and believe holistic medicine is the only answer. There has to be a healthy mix. Sometimes you need surgery and sometimes you don’t. Sometime you need drugs and sometimes you don’t.
While a segment of the group can be branded experts in their respective fields of health, at our core, we are just regular people with the same everyday challenges as everyone else. We feel, we think, and we experience the same polarizing emotional components (feelings, thoughts and memories) similar to any other person. We have the same health conditions and experience nagging aches and pains just like everyone else. We have the same relationship struggles and family issues that are common in everyone’s life.
At some point in everyone’s life, they will be dealing with some level of physical or emotional damage that they are unaware of. Anyone who lives long enough will discover some chronic condition, or experience some age-related degeneration, damage or disorder. So, we created Introspective Intelligence to help people self-discover and to become self-aware of the cumulative effect of those damaging life experiences that developed into some physical or emotional issue. The information to heal, and many of the obstacles that prevent healing is stored somewhere in everyone’s subconscious mind.
Nearly every personality trait; decision, choice and reaction are being influenced by some subconscious feeling, thought or memory. Some traits, decisions, choices and reactions are healthier than others. The higher someone increases their Introspective Intelligence, the clearer their mind is to identify both the experience and emotional lynchpin responsible for their behavior—passive and aggressive, good or bad. Having emotional transparency or “knowing thy self” is not an epiphanic manifestation that occurs when a person becomes a certain age, becomes educated, becomes wealthy or gains wisdom, etc. Being mindful and practicing mindfulness are levels of self-awareness that usually takes place after some kind of healing journey.
There’s You, Then Your Connections with Others
When it comes to emotional wellness, our minds at Straight Raw Wellness are open to self-exploration or introspection to help us better understand how past traumas and disappointments impact daily behavior later in life. Self-exploration is a mental healing journey comprised of self-reflection and self-examination to self-discover to become self-aware. We embrace the idea of the healing journey to help anyone discover their issues and to properly prepare their mind to embark on the healing process. In order for a person to have happy relationships and healthy connections with other’s they have to be relatively happy emotionally and physically healthy themselves. in our opinions, every individual must learn to focus on their own state of being happy and healthy first!
We want to inspire people to randomly check in with themselves, to self-explore and to have emotional breakthroughs to reveal their emotional issues. We encourage people to get their annual blood lab work to reveal any health issues. Although blood analysis can’t detect every health condition, it’s important to know the markers and learn how to interpret the results. Never put all your faith in any doctor to inform you of a health issue.
After receiving the news of some physical health condition or discovering some post traumatic issue, it’s important to start a healing journey to repair, to slow or to stop the progression of damage. For patients with certain medical health issues this often means becoming more health conscious; carb conscious, sodium conscious, fat conscious, alcohol conscious, etc. Focus on your state of being happy and healthy first never try to play doctor with friends and family members.
Speaking of medical doctors, a frightening reality in the health care industry is that some doctors may not review or pass on to their patients their lab results. Although some medical providers have improved in this area, there is a percentage of people with very serious health conditions that fall through the cracks. One person not being informed about the status of their health is one person too many. More patients need to stop putting the responsibility for their health solely in their doctors’ hands. Speaking of stopping, healing as a concept is discovering what behaviors to stop and what behaviors to start. Healing starts with understanding the emotion, energy or personal connections that’s influencing a person’s bad decisions, wrong choices and unhealthy behavior.
Our Healing Mission
At Straight Raw Wellness, we know that a closed mind will not be open to the idea of taking a healing journey. A mind that gets locked into any way of thinking or treatment will not be open to any concept that is progressive. When the conscious mind is closed to new ideas, it’s not open to receiving progressive information, nor will a person implement any health protocol that will improve and sustain their quality of life. We are not telling people to attempt to treat their own physical conditions or emotional issues. We want people to utilize all their medical health resources, services and wellness options. However, instead of just treating their symptoms, they should also self-explore and self-educate to better understand their ‘whys’ of any unhealthiness; their choices, tendencies, vulnerabilities, etc. This means understanding subconscious and chronic stress.
Psychological stress per se is one of the least discussed culprits responsible for both physical and emotional issues. That’s why we stress that people do their due diligence about all health information to make the best treatment choices for their particular condition. We encourage people to create daily health routines and to find balance daily to mitigate the effects of stress. The healing journey will reveal the source or sources of stress to become more self-aware.
Emotional healing journeys take time. Each journey requires a person to be mentally present to reach their health goals. The road to recovery can reveal some self-truths that often devolve into deeper emotional pain. We get it. People want the emotional discomfort to stop immediately. They wish their feelings of regret, anxiety, and depression would go away on their own. Some people would rather turn to the typical quick fixes; pills, alcohol, sex, health club, etc.
Nearly everyone has some vice they use to relax, or a go-to method to cope with life’s stressful moments. No judgement but, sedating and altering one’s mood may be popular, but neither is practical nor progressive. There are safer alternatives than prescription and illegal drugs to stop the progression of physical or emotional damage. There is good mental health information to help people prior to becoming emotionally fragile, or who are actually in crisis.
Our healing mission is to continuously seek practical health information. To accomplish that mission, the Straight Raw Wellness group networks with other health organizations and medical professionals to provide—in our opinion—the best, most accurate wellness information. We may challenge other health care groups’ philosophies and approaches to wellness, and in return, they challenge ours. The healthy debates that ensue create spirited brainstorming sessions that eventually manifest progressive information.
Over the years, our health and wellness group has compiled a wealth of progressive information. That said, we humbly consider ourselves to be progressive individuals, and label ourselves Progressive Informationalist. While it is challenging, and also frustrating to get people to make paradigm shifts in thinking, it is very rewarding to help people, and to actually see them achieve their highest level of health and wellness. Although giving people the 411 or providing good information to gain self-knowledge is our main objective, our hope is to inspire people with health conditions and mental health challenges to move forward to start their healing journey. When people are ready emotionally, they can self-educate and implement their respective healing process. With all the information we have gathered, we are ready to share our healing philosophy and our core beliefs with the world.
Denial during the self-discovery process is the first emotional bottleneck where most people get stuck on the emotional healing journey.
They will fail to admit to oneself and deny to others about having issues with emotional pain, uncontrollable anger or constant fear. This defense mechanism can either delay or deny access to the healing process. During the self-awareness part of an emotional healing journey, a person has a choice of roads to take. Remain on the same path of grieving which is easy and less complicated. Or, take the less traveled road to the metaphoric door (mind) of healing. Some people can’t heal because of where they are focusing their why. Instead of focusing on ‘why’ they are the way they are, they only focus on why it happened and who's to blame. This only leads to blame, finding fault, only seeing guilt etc. This keeps people stuck.
The five mental doors to the Five Stages of the healing process are not easy to access mentally. Some doors only require opening and some require unlocking. If healing were easy, everyone would take its more difficult path to enter their individual process. Although the healing process commences with admitting to all the issues discovered during self-exploration, the healing process can stall, and be abandoned. Open mind concept
After The Healing Journey, Comes The Healing Process
The Five Stages of The Healing Process
Here are the five (5) stages of healing: Understanding, Acceptance, Forgiveness, Closure and Peace. Each individual stage has its own metaphoric door that must be unlocked. enter the five stages of the healing process become available. The door to the healing process opens For some people, the door to the healing process shuts in their face. Although many people have started their emotional healing journey, some get stuck in the first two stages of the healing process.
Although some people can’t navigate the pain of discovering the truth, many get stuck on understanding ‘why’ the experienced happened to them. They place too much importance on trying to understand why something happened making it impossible to accept it and move on. Trying to understand why something happened doesn’t happen while dealing with the pain (blame, guilt, regret) When you trust the healing process, your mind will much clearer to find perspective (clarity) at a later date. Until you have that epiphany, keep moving forward through the healing process. The answers for why something happened terrible may manifest or you may never understand a plan of the universe or of God.
For others who get passed the understanding and acceptance stage, they may get tripped while in the two-tier forgiveness stage. First of all, it can be very difficult to forgive others for their malicious intent or bad actions. However, many people struggle with self-forgiveness for missing the early signs, ignoring the red flags and compromising their deal breakers. Some people beat themselves up for not being strong enough. Some even hate themselves for being abused or abandoned. Although regret is a normal feeling, some people firmly state that they have no regrets. Everyone has regrets. Some people just don’t beat themselves up about the past. Some people are in deep denial about their accountability. For some people, it’s the subconscious regrets and the deep regret that is the self-punishment that keeps them stuck in the grieving pocess.
